Help me raise money in honour of my Mum, Margret and the 421,000 Australians living with dementia.

On Sunday, 9 March, I'm taking part in Western Sydney's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australians impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.

Please make a donation to support my efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's second-leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

For Marg

Hello there, 

Thanks so much for taking the time to read about our fundraising. My dearest Mum, Marg, has spent the last 5 years battling Alzheimers. She is a strong and courageous woman who has always said ‘never give up!’.

Never in a million years could we have imagined or comprehended how hard dementia is, for the person with dementia and also their carers. 

Marg dedicated her adult life to victims of sexual assault and violence. She offered a soft landing for many children and mothers who had experienced the unthinkable - and she was a warm and tender educator to those doing the work. She passionately advocated for and built services for children and parents who most needed it at a terrifying time in their lives. Marg brought light when many felt only dark. We can only hope to bring the same light to Mum who is facing an uncertain darkness of her own. 

Any donation is greatly appreciated towards helping those with Dementia in Australia. We will be walking the ‘memory walk’ on 9th March 2025 if you’re able to join our team - For Marg.
