Help me raise money in honour of my Great grandmother, Grace and all those that I work with daily who are living with Dementia in their lives.

On Saturday, 3 May, I'm taking part in Bendigo's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australians impacted by dementia.

Dementia is something that touched my life early as I witnessed the changes in my Nana and the complexity of loving and grieving a person as they were still with us. 

Now I get to go to work everyday learning, supporting and showing appreciation to for people and their loved ones suffering from dementia. As my colleagues know it’s not always the easiest job day to day but the reward of connection and understanding with residents and families makes the hard days easier.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's second-leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.
