Gosford My Way Memory Walk & Jog is on this Sunday

This Sunday we are participating in the Gosford My Way Memory Walk & Jog with the goal of walking 10km to raise funds to beat dementia. 

The funds we raise will go towards vital support Dementia Australia provides, such as counselling sessions, in-home care, education for health care professionals, as well as innovative research.  

Why is this cause so important to Sophie personally?
  •  Sophie regularly helps families navigate the financial side of caring for a loved one with dementia. Often, the carer is juggling so much - caring for a spouse, parent, or relative, keeping the household running, possibly working, and ensuring their loved one stays safe. Our chats go beyond just the financial side because dementia affects so much more—socially, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
  •  Sophie has also seen the impact dementia has had on her own family, and honestly, it’s  heartbreaking 💔 
Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia, and it’s predicted to soon be number one.

We're taking part in the Gosford MyWay MW&J to show our love and help Dementia Australia.

Did you know that 1.5 million carers, family members and friends are involved in the care of someone living with dementia in Australia. That's why we're hoping to raise as much money as possible. We'll be walking, jogging, and running to stop dementia in its tracks.
