Welcome to season 2020 of Memory Walk & Jog. The weather is warming up and there’s a Spring in our step! We have a new look website, new locations, new initiatives and a whole lot of energy - ready to kick dementia’s butt.
If you’re READY too, it’s the perfect time of year to commit to a great community cause, get registered, start your Memory Walk & Jog training and fundraising. Starting in Feburary 2020, we’ll be running 12 Memory Walk & Jog events around the country. If those don’t work for you, you can choose to join or run a DIY event or pledge your solo kilometres with MY Memory Walk & Jog. Volunteering is another awesome way to get involved.
It’s time to SET those goals. You can fundraise in support of vital dementia support services for the community. Whether you donate a small or large amount - it makes the world of difference to people with dementia in their lives. We think you’re pretty amazing too. For our top fundraisers (Dementia Warriors) we have the new, Platinum level of recognition for your efforts.
We love to see you get active and GO! The big day itself is important. But don’t forget: when it comes to your training, slow and steady wins the race!
We want to help you look the part when you line up. In 2020, you’ll be able to snap up our fresh merchandise and stand out as a star Memory Walk & Jogger. We won’t leave your furry friends behind either. Yellow bandanas will be available for dogs registered to take part in our 2020 events, so don’t forget to book their dog pass when you register.
Memory Walk & Jog events bring communities, organisations and individuals together. They raise vital funds that go towards Dementia Australia’s tireless fight for a dementia-friendly world for everyone. They’re also brilliant at encouraging more people to get more active - fantastic for your body and your brain!
Memory Walk & Jog event day is a chance for fundraisers, supporters and volunteers to celebrate, to remember and to commit to the ongoing fight against dementia.
We can’t wait to see you on race day. In the meantime, let us know how we can support you as you get ready, set, go for a dementia-friendly world!
